This Media Release about WA Household Electricity Credits has been provided by Energy Policy WA.
Apply for the $700 Household Electricity Credit before 30 November 2024.
The WA and Australian Governments are jointly funding a one-off $700 Household Electricity Credit to ease cost-of-living pressures.
Households that do not have an account with Synergy or Horizon Power can apply to receive the credit. This includes people who receive their electricity through an embedded network, for instance if they live in an apartment building, a retirement village, or a caravan park.
Applications are open until 30 November 2024 on the RevenueWA Online Services Portal. Households will need to provide evidence of electricity costs.
If your household held an eligible concession card on 17 June 2024, you should register for RevenueWA’s Energy Concession Extension Scheme (ECES) instead to receive an annual Energy Assistance Payment of $334.49 plus the $700 Household Electricity Credit.
